Chips, Dips & Caskets... (@ COSTCO)

I like going to COSTCO, they have a wide-assortment of products, with good pricing. I like the fact they have experiential marketing of various items. (Yummy) Today I had to chuckle, because as I’m leaving, the very last thing I see is a casket display, (not full-size) but right next to a vacation display. Temporary Vacation vs. Permanent Vacation. The very last thing people see leaving the store is this display. I guess it’s better than putting it at the register as an impulse buy. ;-) There are numerous things wrong with this, and I heard a few people make negative comments about seeing caskets when they’re shopping. Kid Friendly? Do they think anyone is jazzed-up telling their friends: I got some amazing deals today at COSTCO. I bought chips and dips for the party, picked up that big screen, and a 2-pack of caskets! More irony is they don’t provide boxes for groceries, but they’ll sell one in your size…

Mere words could never describe the feelings of adoptive parents. As much as I love to post my thoughts on many subjects, and I’m an adoption advocate, I haven’t written much (as of yet) on adoption. God put adoption on my amazing wife’s heart over 9 years ago. While I won’t go into too many details now, (I’m presently writing them) this was the start of a change of heart for me. God has Blessed me with a beautiful wife, and two amazing daughters. I cannot thank HIM enough…

'We need the government to get out of the pulpit'

Dozens of pastors around the nation are challenging an Internal Revenue Service rule that anti-Christian activists often invoke when they want to silence the message of churches, according to the Alliance Defense Fund.

The organization has announced that more than 80 preachers are taking part in its second annual Pulpit Freedom Sunday this weekend.

The pastors will preach Sunday sermons related to biblical perspectives on the positions of electoral candidates or current government officials, exercising their constitutional right to free religious expression, the ADF said.

They will do so despite a “problematic” IRS rule that activists use when they want to silence the message of Christians, the ADF said… - (via) WND
